An amazing depth of dark berry fruits on the nose. Scented raspberry, blood-plum and dark cherry, with a dusting of cocoa, allspice and oak derived vanilla.

The palate is remarkably poised, belying the weight of the wine. 100% new American oak has enveloped the ripe dark fruits, and ropes of grainy tannin hold the show together, with flickers of new leather, anise and black olive adding savoury interest. 

Complexity is a feature of the finish, with fruit, oak and tannin drawing out to a harmonious finish.
